Created by Bart Sears

We are back with the second volume in Bart Sears’ Drawing Powerful Heroes series of definitive, how-to-draw books by Bart Sears. This second volume will be a massive, 144-page oversized hardcover, and continue one of the best how-to-draw series ever published. Acclaimed comic artist Bart Sears taught an entire generation to draw with his Brutes and Babes column in Wizard Magazine, which was the bible of the comics industry for a decade. In the pages of Wizard, Bart presented dozens of drawing and storytelling tutorials, providing an expansive education in comic art and illustration.

Hello, Brute Force!

If that headline didn’t grab your attention and give you a smile we don’t know what will. Because if there is one thing we think all of you can appreciate it is Giant Monsters fighting Giant Monsters and boy did we find something special!

As you know, we are always keeping an eye out for great Kickstarters to support and have something special for you, an awesome Kaiju Kickstarter by the incredible Dan Brereton: Dan Brereton’s GIANTKILLER Monster Edition Hardcover!

From the campaign: A cosmic event sparks an invasion of giant monsters in the San Francisco Bay Area, and the only effective weapon the military possesses to combat them is a hybrid soldier sharing both Human and Daikaiju DNA.

With just over a week left on the campaign, it is time now to jump in and pledge. Click the link to check it out now!

An amazing campaign from a Real American Hero!
about 5 years ago – Fri, Feb 22, 2019 at 11:04:30 AM

Hello, Brute Force!

We wanted to pop in to let you all know about a kick-ass campaign happening on Kickstarter right now!  Dan Klingensmith and our friends at Steel City Publishing have put together an awesome book of G.I. Joe conceptual designs - 3.75" Joe: Creating G.I.Joe ®: A Real American Hero™ Vol. 6.

From the campaign: “3.75 Inch Joe: The Special Forces Team that forged an American Hero (Volume 6)” is an 80-page, 9”X10” library of designs and stories ranging from 1982-1994, including some unproduced concepts! This fully-colored book will be printed on 100# paper in a Soft Perfect Bind format, with a visible spine like a graphic novel.

This amazing volume includes classic G.I. Joe characters such as Grunt, Tripwire, Wildbill, Dragonfly,  Swampskier & Dreadnoks, Buzzer, Ripper, Torch, and more!

Interesting tidbit - some of my G.I Joe toy design art has been featured in this series!

There are just a few days left to get in on the action and the Joes need your help! Click this link to check it out now!  https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1285703462/375-joe-creating-gijoe-a-real-american-herotm-vol-3
