Hey Brutes and Babes,
Wanted to shoot you all a quick update and let you know where things are at with this volume of Drawing Powerful Heroes. We got an update from our overseas printer yesterday and we can now give you some firm dates as to when you'll receive the books.
Right now, the books are on a cargo freighter churning across the Pacific Ocean. They call these freighters the Slow Boat for a reason; cargo is slated to arrive to port in Los Angeles on 7/9. The books then have to clear customs which takes roughly a week. They'll be shipped from Los Angeles on 7/17 and are scheduled to arrive at our fulfillment center on 7/24.
So what that means is books will begin being shipped out on 7/25 and we expect everyone to have their copy, plus any other rewards and the Blue Line template book (which we had printed here in the US) within 10 days after.
Of course, this is 2020 we're talking about and that means there's a better-than-average chance that Godzilla will rise from the depths of the Pacific and destroy the cargo freighter while battling Ghidora or something along those lines. But barring any catastrophes between now and then, you can pretty much take that schedule to the bank.
It's been a long road on this project. We've had to withstand a global pandemic, Bart's computer tower erupting like a volcano and various other delays but we're almost there on this one. Thanks for hanging in there us. It'll be worth the wait!

Official DPH2 news update! Plus...the blueline template book.

Hey guys,
We hope this update finds you safe and healthy, wherever you are. Obviously we are all dealing with extraordinary circumstances, and unexpected challenges. These are tough times for everyone.
But...
We do have some positive news to report finally. We have confirmed with a printer in Korea that they are back up and running, Drawing Powerful Heroes Volume 2 is now officially in its printing process, and the books will be shipping to the U.S. soon, then trucked to our fulfillment facility near Buffalo. We expect to accept delivery of the books in six to eight weeks and will begin fulfillment immediately. We know there has been a protracted wait for this project’s physical copies, for numerous reasons, and we apologize for the delay.
The Blueline Guide is in the process of being printed here in the U.S. now, and will be ready and waiting to be fulfilled along with the Volume 2 hardcover. We expect to send out the digital version of the Blueline Guide by next week, as soon as the files are prepared.
We truly appreciate your patience throughout this process. The end is in sight.

Printing update and a free gift

Happy Monday, Brutes and Babes!
We've had a few backers reach out to inquire about the status of the physical copies of Drawing Powerful Heroes 2 and wanted to update everyone.
DPH2 is currently in a bit of a holding pattern due to the the Covid-19 Pandemic. The book is being printed overseas and our printer is still shut down, like many non-essential businesses both here and abroad. Parts of Asia seem to be a step ahead of us in reopening sections of its economy; for example, movie theaters in China opened their doors again (but shut down a second time a week later). So it's a tricky situation to gauge.
All this is to say we're in a very fluid situation and a lot of things are out of our control. Although DPH2 has taken much longer than any of us would like, we've successfully fulfilled every campaign we've run and this one will be no different. It's just had a few unexpected twists and turns but hey, what's life without challenges, right?
The Blueline Template book will be printed here in the US once we can squeeze the files out of Bart. He's had a variety of issues, including but not limited to a complete meltdown of his computer, but is working to get it back on track.
In the meantime, if you'll check your inboxes later today, you'll be receiving a code for a free digital download of the first Demi-God HC series to help hold you over while the rest of this stuff shakes out. We really appreciate your patience and support and we don't take either for granted. As the world slowly gets back to normal, hopefully we'll be able to share some forward progress soon.

As previously mentioned, we are in the process of sourcing other printers for the hardcover edition, due to coronavirus impacting printing plants in Asia. We expect to have an option selected soon, and then the presses will roll! In the meantime, enjoy your download.
