Happy sunshine, BRUTE FORCE!
As this next long, hot summer approaches, or as is already here in my southern case, we’ve a couple of things to cover in this update… I’d like to show off a couple of new pages of DRAWING POWERFUL HEROES VOLUME 2 along with how their content originally appeared in Wizard Magazine and a couple of new pages of The BLUE-LINE DRAWING GUIDE, and before I melt away to nothing I have a surprise endorsement at the very end – read on, friends!
Still working hard at finishing these two volumes and getting them in your eager, artistic hands!
Now the surprise endorsement… Andy Smith, an old, old friend of mine, has a new Kickstarter running called Dynamic Hero Templates, a draw-in book that is a useful tool for any aspiring character designer!
This book is 48 pages and features blue-line figures that you use to design your own character by DRAWING RIGHT OVER the figures, right in the book! (Yes, loyal BRUTE FORCE-ians, similar in concept to the BLUE-LINE DRAWING GUIDE) But in DYNAMIC HERO TEMPLATES you design your own characters right over Andy’s professionally drawn figure templates.
In Andy’s own words, “When I was a kid learning to draw, I had a lot of character design ideas rolling around in my head but I wasn’t at the talent level I envisioned in my head to put them down on paper in a way I was happy with. That’s the reason I created "Dynamic Hero Templates" so whether you are an aspiring artist or someone that likes to create characters but doesn’t want to deal with the hassle of trying to draw an accurate figure now you can just open this book and start creating your characters over my blue line figure templates! “
That’s it for this update! Thanks again for your much needed and much appreciated support!
All my best,
Greetings BRUTE FORCE!

Taking a little break from putting together Drawing Powerful Heroes: Volume 2 and the Blue-Line Drawing Guide and all the other cool stuff going on here at Ominous to send out a brief update – you get busy and before you know it a few weeks have passed.
We are working hard to get these volumes through production and into your eager, artistic hands! Hopefully all the bits and pieces will continue to move forward at a nice clip and we will move onto final editing and printing soon!
Now Brute wants to say a quick word…
Brute is a little extreme, as usual. No worries, we’ll have these books finished soon, and they will be of Ominous quality!
Thank you all for your continued support! BRUTE FORCE rules!

Hello, Brute Force! Since the successful finish of our campaign, some of our awesome backers have been asking about add-ons. We’ve heard you loud and clear!
We’ve added a heaping helping of add-ons to our BackerKit store, including a digital edition of the Blue Line Drawing Guide! There are loads of other goodies being offered, like an all-new set of 10 prints featuring Bart Sears’ classic characters Brute andBabe as visualized by artists Dave Finch, Meghan Hetrick, Robert Atkins (x2!), Aaron Lopresti, Graham Nolan, Gustavo Duarte, Bart Sears, Andy Smith, and Tim Seeley!
You can check out all of the amazing add-ons by clicking this link! http://bit.ly/DPH2ADD-ONS As an added reminder, each of these pieces will also be offered as add-ons when your BackerKit surveys go out, and all pieces will ship as the Kickstarter fulfills. To simplify the process, you can wait to add on items once you receive your survey, but do keep in mind that some of these items are limited.
Thank you, Brute Force, for all of your continued support!

A Message About Grinidon.

Hello, Brute Force. Yesterday, we spoke to you all about a really wonderful campaign called Grinidon: A Fantasy Graphic Novel - Volume 4. In our haste to spread the word, it seems we forgot to include a link to the campaign. Our apologies for any confusion this may have caused.
The Grinidon campaign still has three days left and boasts a ton of really awesome rewards. We highly recommend that you check it out, which you can do by clicking this link: http://bit.ly/Grinidon4
Here’s a bit from the campaign: For three generations, the kingdoms of Carnasus and Gallinir have been at war - first as lords in their homeland, and now as kings on the newly discovered island of Calaway.
It was here that the world was first introduced to the races of elves and orcs, and a land much more ancient and mysterious than they ever knew existed.
Grinidonis the story of the island, its people and kingdoms, and the convergence of new civilizations and power.
We ask that you spread the word as well! Together, we can push them over the finish line and unlock some of the amazing stretch goals they have lined up!
